2012 Buick LaCrosse Price Review and Specs
The basic models of 2012 Buick LaCrosse are very nice, with alloy wheels, 17 inches, keyless entry, power accessories, dual zone climate control, cloth upholstery, power driver’s seat and partial passenger seats, split folding rear seat fitted back tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, OnStar, Bluetooth and a seven-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary audio input interface and an iPod or USB audio. Next step would be a convenience (1 SA), which adds a power lumbar adjustment for driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and remote start. For 2012 Buick LaCrosse has revamped its range of models and replaces last year, the three relatively simple configurations, with no fewer than seven different versions.
Spring for the model gets leather and fog lights, heated mirrors with integrated turn signal repeaters, leather upholstery, heated front seats and electric front seat full of passengers. The Premium version adds a rear parking assistant, an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror and driver memory settings for the seat. The Prima-2 (1SP) ups the ante with the 3.6-liter V6, keyless ignition or entry, perforated leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and heated leather steering wheel wood and a rear window visor. Some of the features found in higher levels adjustment to the bottom rails can be added as options. Other notable options include a sunroof airbags, rear and rear-seat video entertainment system with two screens mounted headers.
The Buick LaCrosse 2012 comes with safety features include antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control, front seat side airbags and side curtain airbags in length and OnStar telematics. In the rear seat side airbags and a blind spot warning system are optional. In the braking test, a 2012 Buick LaCrosse stopped 60 mph in 127 feet – a little longer than average.
If there is a weakness in this ornate design is that the controls are not as easy and intuitive as some traditional Buick buyers want. Just as we think, the abundance of buttons and knobs are used for audio, climate control and navigation systems is something that most people should be eventually used to get.
Sit behind the wheel surrounding the 2012 Buick LaCrosse and is located inside a graceful curves and sophisticated materials. Even after the sun goes down, the cockpit of flowing lines with a soft blue lighting environment, which adds a touch of class is evident.
The extra power engineers have taken out of the V6 engine that makes this even more attractive. More importantly, the new hybrid eAssist much more suitable for this application than the previous four-cylinder engine provides decent acceleration, fuel economy very respectable and highly sophisticated operation.
The 2012 Buick LaCrosse is based on the small side, but with only 13.3 cubic feet of cargo space. The space is even stronger in the new models with eAssist propulsion system, where teams reduced the ability of the hybrid battery to less than 11 cubic meters. A smaller opening can also be very difficult to load items.
